The Newmarket Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking a Library Director who is experienced, enthusiastic, innovative, and very public service orientated. The Director oversees a staff of 1 full-time and5 part-time employees, a collection of approximately 37,000 items, andan annual budget of $400,000. The Library Director reports to the Board of Trustees and plans,implements, and manages all services to the public; including libraryoperations, personnel selection and supervision, collectiondevelopment, establishing new programming that is innovative, creativeand responsive to the needs of the community, policy management,annual budget preparation and fiscal management of the libraryfacility. Applications must have an ALA-accredited Master’s Degree in LibraryScience, strong communication skills, administrative and supervisoryexperience.
