International Security is a quarterly journal of international affairs that was founded in 1976. Edited at the Harvard Kennedy School and published by MIT Press, the journal is the leading publication of its kind and has published many prominent scholarly articles on the causes of war and peace, theories of international relations, and U.S. foreign and defense policy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the executive editor of International Security, a quarterly journal of international politics, and receives training and support from staff at the University Archives. Coordinating with the executive editor, the records assistant will process International Security records to prepare for their move to off- site storage. The records assistant will sort and label material in accordance with the Harvard University General Records Schedule, create inventories, and may assist with secure disposal of records. This is a temporary position.
Basic Requirements:
- undergraduate student or bachelor’s degree, some work experience

- Ability to follow a detailed project plan
- Exceptional written, verbal, critical thinking, and listening skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to identify and communicate potential obstacles quickly so that the project can more forward
