Library Support Specialist
Gradient, an environmental consulting firm, is seeking a resourceful, confident, and detail-oriented information specialist to support the document retrieval and document management functions of its fast-paced, dynamic Information Resource Center (IRC). A successful candidate in this role will become an important part of a talented team of information professionals who provide comprehensive research and information services to a national consulting staff of scientists and engineers using appropriate electronic, print and other resources.
Core hours are M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Some overtime may be required. Professional development opportunities available. Excellent benefits, friendly, hybrid work environment with great locations in downtown Boston, MA, Seattle, WA, or Charlottesville, VA.
A successful candidate in this role will have the following:
General Requirements:
•Must be able to see the big picture, have the ability to organize collections of materials,anticipate needs, and work well with a range of personalities.
•Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and multi-tasking skills areessential.
•College degree preferred or equivalent
•1-2 years of library experience preferred
General Responsibilities:
•Place orders for journal articles and other materials, both print and digital, as directed.
•Perform bibliographic searching to verify citation information for items requested.

•Create document records in the online IRC catalog for new orders as well as for projectdocuments provided by clients or otherwise obtained in the course of project work.
•Support IRC document management activities, including tracking and organizing digitalfiles and other tasks as assigned.
Compensation Statement:

Base salary is only part of your overall total compensation. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $55k-65k. Numerous factors are taken into consideration including education/training, experience, and geographical location, all of which are appraised during the interview process. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
