Marketing & Communications Internship – Photo Archivist, Make a Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island (Remote/Boston, MA)

The Marketing and Communications team at Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island seeks a volunteer intern who is experienced in organizing photo archives, is forward-thinking, and works with a high attention to detail. Interns work 2 days/week (can be remote if systems access is available and intern is preferred to be based out of our Boston Office).

We are seeking a volunteer intern to support a photo organization/catalogue project. The intern will propose and create a file structure and standardize a naming convention for wish photos. To-date, the project includes a collection of four (4) decades of photos ranging in quality.

Required qualifications
Successful candidate must be able to take direction and feedback well, work independently, use good judgment, and be extremely organized. Experience working in a SharePoint environment is helpful. Must have an interest in and experience with photo archiving. Preference given to those applicants enrolled in a Master of Library and Information Science program.

A minimum commitment of three months and 14-16 hours per week is required. For students seeking academic credit for this position, we will work with you to ensure that your time commitment and content of your role fulfills your school’s requirements for credit.
