The Special Collections Curator (Early/Pre-20th century) is charged with the continued development of and teaching and engagement with the pre-20th century collections of rare books, printed materials, manuscripts, and archives. Among the Special Collections Research Center’s (SCRC) collection strengths are antiquarian books, Leopold von Ranke collection, history of printing and publishing, New York State history and ephemera, religious and utopian communities and 19th century reform movements, such as women’s rights and abolition of slavery.
Applications for the Curator positions will be considered for any Librarian rank, commensurate with their experience. The minimum starting salaries for the various ranks of Librarian are:
- Assistant Librarian: $50,000/year
- Senior Assistant Librarian: $55,000/year
- Associate Librarian: $65,000/year
- Librarian: $75,000/year
