Senior Information Governance Analyst, Information Technology Boston, MA

The Information Governance Senior Analyst is responsible for the Information Governance (IG) operations for the designated office within the applicable region. The position is responsible for understanding and maintaining processes, policies, and appropriate controls that ensure compliance for the proper management of information. This position will
also support the Firm’s data privacy, data protection and information security components.

As a Senior Information Governance Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with Information Technology, Information Security and General Counsel personnel to drive< awareness and compliance, develop outreach and training plans, and deliver training to all Firm practice groups from both Legal and Business Operations on our records management software
  • Coordinate the proper identification, transfer and collection of all responsive materials relating specifically to an attorney departure, lateral acquisition, legal hold or client transfer
  • Manage solutions such as O365 and Varonis to properly manage data
  • Coordinate with the Legal Hold Response Team pertaining to any active legal holds
  • Maintain digital imaging for the creation and duplication of removable media; scanning and encrypting documents in a legal environment
  • Organize client documents and data for projects throughout the office
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices related to the use of technology and workflow processes
  • Understand all aspects of the Firm’s Information Governance Policy and be able to articulate relative obligations to Firm stakeholders
  • Enforce compliance to fulfill the Firm’s ethical and regulatory requirements to manage, implement, and secure sensitive or protected data

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least three(3) years of related work experience
  • Required knowledge of Windows, O365, and iManage
  • Preferred knowledge of Varonis, Relativity, Milan, InTapp and ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and familiarity with various file format and electronic repository systems
  • Knowledge of global privacy laws (GDPR and HIPAA) and industry regulations and guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
