The University of Washington Information School is at an exciting juncture, as we broaden and deepen our Master of Science in Information Management (MSIM) Program. Teaching faculty are an integral part of the faculty of the iSchool, teaching across undergraduate and graduate programs. We provide mentorship and a career path for teaching faculty, including opportunities for leadership within the School. This is a full-time, 9-month appointment at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. This position includes faculty voting rights and is not tenure eligible. Faculty at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor typically teach for 9 months per year (excluding summer) although opportunities for summer teaching may be available. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2021. University of Washington teaching professors engage in both teaching and service.
Information Management is an emerging field with the purpose of designing, developing, managing, and using information with insight and innovation to support decision making and create value for individuals, organizations, communities, and societies. Within this space, we are seeking faculty who can complement iSchool expertise in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics.
