Job Description:
The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, Monroe, CT, is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Reference Librarian for to join our innovative team. We are looking for enthusiastic and creative self-starters to create and plan adult and teen programs, especially craft programs, and provide reference and technological help to our patrons. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with social media, Canva, and willing to perform other related duties.
Responsibilities:
- Create and plan adult and teen programs, especially craft programs for library patrons
- Provide reference and technological help to patrons find and access library materials and resources
- Be comfortable with social media, Canva
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- MLS required. MLS candidates nearing graduation will be considered.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Familiarity with social media platforms and Canva
- Ability to work some Saturdays
Hours & Compensation:
This non-union position’s salary range is $19.50 – $29.00/hour, and is a part-time position that requires working weekdays, nights, and some Saturdays as needed.
