The New England Library Association (NELA)’s Educational Assistance Committee is pleased to announce that applications are now open for our graduate study scholarships. This year, we will be awarding two scholarships for $1,000 each.
This scholarship is intended to support students and early career professionals pursuing a degree in library and information science. It reflects NELA’s continued commitment to strengthening the profession by investing in the education of those who will shape its future.
Qualifications
An applicant must be:
- A New England resident who would be likely to stay and work in the region.
- A full or part time student who is a) attending an ALA-accredited library school in New England or New York, or b) enrolled in an ALA accredited program offered in the New England states (this includes online schools!), and who is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Library Science. The applicant need not be an entering student.
- Someone with a demonstrated need for financial assistance.
