Qualifications

  • MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited program   
  • A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible professional library experience, including at least three years in a supervisory or administrative capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of library administration, HR management, and budget planning. Familiarity with computer applications, emerging library technology, and integrated library systems (ILS). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.   

Hours and Compensation

The Director works a flexible schedule that primarily encompasses regular daytime business hours but requires adjustment to accommodate evening/weekend meetings, community events, and professional conferences.

The Town of Hudson offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, participation in the New Hampshire State Retirement System, paid time off, and other municipal benefits.
