The Advancement Office is seeking a part-time employee for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year, supporting the following teams: Corporate and Foundation Relations and Donor Relations and Stewardship. This part-time position (up to 15 per week) offers a unique chance to support these two teams. In this role, you will work closely with the Associate Vice President of Advancement, and contribute to the following projects:
● Prospect Research: Assist in researching potential corporate and foundation donors to gather information about their funding interests and giving histories. You will use tools like LinkedIn, Lexis/Nexis, iWave, the foundation directory, corporate websites, and the Internet. You will also be asked to write prospect research memos on corporations and foundations.
● Briefing Memos: You will help to prepare briefing memos for the Associate Vice President of Advancement in connection with donor/prospect meetings throughout the year.
● Donor Stewardship: Contribute to the development and implementation of donor stewardship programs to cultivate relationships with donors and maintain their support. You will draft acknowledgement letters on behalf of a variety of Simmons senior staff members to donors who make gifts of at least $1,000 for multiple purposes.
● Stewardship Reports. Working with campus partners to secure necessary information, write individualized, tailored reports to donors that demonstrate the impact of their philanthropy on Simmons students, faculty, and the larger community.
Qualifications:
● Graduate student pursuing a degree in a relevant field, such as Library and Information Science, Nonprofit Management, History, or Children’s Literature.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Outstanding writing skills.
● Entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
● Prior experience with databases preferred

Timing, Location, and Salary:
This position is open as of July 1, 2026 and will run through June 30, 2027. The position can be done fully remotely or in a hybrid model. The salary is $17 per hour.
