Join us for a unique opportunity to work inside one of America’s most iconic public libraries. Meyer, Inc. is looking for sharp, detail-oriented individuals to support a collections inventory project at the Boston Public Library (700 Boylston Street).
The Role
This is a full-time (40 hrs/week) temporary assignment starting on or about July 13th, running 3–4 weeks, with potential for continued project work through the end of 2026. You’ll be hands-on with the collection — barcoding items, entering data into a custom inventory system, and helping ensure the library’s holdings are accurately documented and preserved.
What You’ll Do
- Enter precisely formatted data into a custom inventory management program
- Barcode collections and process volumes with loose covers
- Hit daily productivity targets as part of a focused team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a library or archival setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with library science principles
- Comfort with inventory management software
- A degree or coursework in Library Science or IT is a plus, as is equivalent hands-on
experience - English fluency, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with two paid 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch at noon. Temporary full-time. $24/hr.
