Digital Navigator, American Connection Corps (AmeriCorps Member), (Gloucester, MA)

Job Description:

The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America (LFA), is a service fellowship program aimed at helping communities build the digital connectivity necessary to expand opportunity and economic mobility, ranging from healthcare access to quality employment.

ACC Members spend a year serving with locally-rooted organizations, helping address the digital divide and strengthen access to opportunity. Through their service, they gain hands-on experience, build in-demand skills, and explore career pathways while making a tangible impact in their communities.

The ACC Member will serve as a Digital Navigator at Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester, MA, working toward a more equitable and inclusive community by supporting Gloucester residents to improve Internet adoption, use of computing devices and digital literacy.

Position Duties:

The Digital Navigator will gain valuable hands-on service experience under the guidance of Library staff through the following activities:

  • Conducting outreach in the community
  • Supporting the delivery and assessment of digital skills training
  • Facilitating device access and tech troubleshooting
  • Mentoring High School Digital Tutor Interns

Qualifications:

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Be 17 years of age or older by the start of service term.

Hours & Compensation:

This position is located in Gloucester, MA at the Sawyer Free Library. It is in-person and full-time starting September 2026 – August 2027.

40 hours/week | 1,700 hours of service
