The Elizabeth Taber Library, a small historic yet modern library in the seaside community of Marion, is seeking a Seasonal Full-time library assistant position.

The Elizabeth Taber Library, a small historic yet modern library in the seaside community of Marion, is seeking a Seasonal Full-time library assistant position

35 hours a week from June – August, includes one evening a week and Saturday hours.  

Responsibilities

Under the direction and management of the Director, the Library Assistant engages in all facets of library services, policies and procedures, and provides all patron-based services at the Circulation Desk including but not limited to all circulation services, computer and tech assistance, enforcing library policies, reference and readers’ advisory services, book processing and shelving, opening and closing procedures, and providing assistance with summer programming.

Qualifications

Library experience, particularly in a library within the SAILS network is preferred, customer or public service experience required.

Hours and Compensation

$16 an hour starting salary offer

35 hours a week from June – August, includes one evening a week and Saturday hours.
