At Sidelines magazine, we are a team of creatives who come together to combine our visions into a semesterly art and literary magazine full of love. Beyond our e-board, we have weekly meetings open to all members of the Colleges of the Fenway. These often consist of reviewing art and writing submissions, with discussions led by our writing and art editors, as well as event and content planning as a general body. Involving our general body and outside student population in an attempt to expand student submissions and engagement has been a large focus of our team in the past year. Sidelines is both a place to gain experience working on a magazine, a place to express yourself creatively, and an opportunity to connect and grow with the lovely and kind members of our team. This semester, we are looking for 2-3 new individuals to join our team. 

LAYOUT EDITOR: As a layout editor, you will be reporting to one of the Co-Editor-In-Chiefs. In this role, you will design the layout and design of the magazine before it is sent to print. You will need to have some knowledge of Adobe InDesign and a big imagination. 

MEDIA TEAM: As a part of the media team, you will be reporting to the media manager. In this role, you will be planning, creating and posting media for our Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. This would require a lot of creativity, some knowledge of design and video editing (Canva, AdobeSuite). 

Qualifications

These roles are ONLY open to students in the Colleges of the Fenway.

Hours and Compensation

These positions will have a stipend for each semester you join us ONLY if you go to Simmons University.
