Part-Time Visitor Services Representative, Nichols House Museum, (Boston, MA)

Enjoy sharing stories of the Arts and Crafts movement, Boston history, and women’s lives? Join the staff at the Nichols House Museum!
Visitor Services Representatives lead high-quality tours of the Nichols House Museum for diverse
audiences. They are also responsible for admission and gift shop sales, as well as opening and closing the museum. The position offers the potential for gaining experience with special events, public programs, and small exhibits.

Position Duties:

Candidates should have excellent communication skills, enjoy interacting with visitors of all ages, and
possess a strong interest in public history. Enthusiasm for women’s history, the Arts and Crafts movement, and the Progressive Era are a plus, as are retail point of sale and tour guiding experience (will train as needed). If you are looking for museum and public history experience, we are looking for you!

Hours and Compensation:

Through the end of October 2026, the Visitor Services Representative works 5 hours per week, typically between 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on Sundays, with the possibility of substitute shifts on other days. During the winter, there is the possibility for 1-2 days a month.

$16.50 to $17.50/hour
