Description:

Reading Public Library is searching for a part-time Library Associate in Collection Services. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, inclusive, and equitable library services at public service desks, manage materials circulation, facilitate patron access, maintain confidentiality, and create a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in any field;
• Two (2) years of customer service experience, library experience preferred; or
• Any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience, with additional
  work experience substituting for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Work Hours:

This is a part-time position that averages 20 hours per week and is eligible for benefits. The schedule is a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, with one evening shift and every third Saturday. This position is also eligible to work Sundays at 1.5 OT rates.
