Description
The Massachusetts Registry of Vital Records and Statistics (RVRS) is recruiting a historian for the RVRS Regulatory Advisory Committee (RAC). The RAC, pursuant to MGL Chapter 17, Section 4, will work to advise on Code of Massachusetts Regulations (CMR) that provide the standards for the administration and disclosure of vital records and statistics. RAC members will provide feedback to ensure that these records and data are reliable, accessible, secure, and used for the benefit of individuals, the public, and researchers. The RVRS-related CMR is the sole focus of this committee.
Members will likely meet 2-3 times per year virtually. Throughout the year, members will be responsible for reviewing documents and providing feedback. Terms lengths will be at least two years. The committee will have its first meeting in February 2026.
