Spring 2026 Sales Development Intern, De Gruyter Brill (Boston, MA)

This internship provides hands-on exposure to sales development within an international academic publishing organization. As a Sales Development Intern, you will support the commercial and marketing team by assisting with lead generation, customer research, sales data organization, and outreach preparation. You will gain insight into institutional sales, customer relationship management, and the role of market intelligence in driving revenue growth. The position will be based out of the Boston office.

Specific duties include but may not be limited to:

  • Supporting sales development activities, including prospect and account research.
  • Organizing and maintaining sales data, contact lists, and CRM-related information.
  • Conducting market and customer research to support sales strategies in the Americas.
  • Assisting with preparation for sales outreach, campaigns, and follow-ups.
  • Assisting Sales with customer communications and gathering market feedback.
  • Assist with other sales and publishing projects related to the Boston office.
  • Other administrative duties as required.

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Interest in a career in publishing
  • Very task-oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

There is one part-time position opening for this role, 20 hours a week each, dependent on schedule. This is a paid position of $17 an hour. The earliest start date for this position is January 21, 2026, and the position will run until mid-May.
