Research and Instructional Services Librarian, Roger Williams University School of Law, (Bristol, RI)

Description

The Roger Williams University Law Library seeks an engaging Research and Instructional Services Librarian to join the law library in January 2026. If you are passionate about supporting future legal professionals, join our intergenerational library team in supporting the educational and social justice mission of Rhode Island’s only law school, a national public service leader.

In addition to delivering comprehensive reference, research, and instructional services, the Research and Instructional Services Librarian will coordinate our instructional programs, including our embedded legal research instruction in the first-year Legal Practice program, research instruction for clinical and externship programs, and training for law journals and co-curricular programs, with in-depth support, outreach to, and engagement with students from the entire law school program. The Research and Instructional Services Librarian will succeed in these endeavors by cultivating collaborative relationships within the library, with law school faculty and other members of the community, with the University librarians, and with the larger law librarianship community.

RWU Law librarians contribute to library-wide initiatives and strategic planning efforts, collect and analyze statistics to support program assessment and reporting, serve on relevant committees, and contribute to collection development efforts. The library administration supports and encourages active participation in local, regional, and national professional development activities.
