International Security, America’s leading academic journal of security affairs, is seeking a copyeditor to assist with its operations. This is a remote, part-time position. The journal is sponsored and edited by the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Learn more about the journal at https://www.belfercenter.org/collection/international security.
Responsibilities
Copyeditor will edit citations for five journal articles four times per year. In addition, copyeditor will use PerfectIt to identify and resolve inconsistencies in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and other style elements.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of previous experience as a copyeditor and/or proofreader. Experience editing citations strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to meet firm production deadlines
Hours and Compensation
Time Commitment: Up to 14 hours per week. Hourly commitment each week is determined by the production schedule and varies considerably.
Compensation: $39/hour
