Job Description

We’re looking for an organized, friendly, engaging, and public-service-oriented person to fill 2 new Library Technician positions. At the Levi Heywood Memorial Library we have been expanding
our library programming and outreach in recent years in order to comply with our 5 year strategic plan, and are excited to be bringing on new staff.

Library Technicians are responsible for staffing the library’s circulations desks, circulating materials, registering patrons, and assisting patrons of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong customer service experience, ability to show good judgement and flexibility.
• Prior experience in libraries and familiarity with Evergreen software desired.

Salary: $20.83 per hour. This is a part-time unbenefited position Position 1 is for 13 hours, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Position 2 is for 17.5 hours, Wednesday evenings, Fridays and Saturdays.
