Job Description:

The Chelmsford Public Library is looking for qualified applicants to join our team as a substitute librarian for the Reference or Youth Services Departments.

Duties: The successful candidate will provide reference services in a busy library with an opportunity for occasional extra hours (paid at time and a half) on Sunday afternoons. If desired, this person may be trained to substitute as a substitute Department Head (33.3107/hr.) during week night and weekend shifts.

Minimum requirements and training:

ALA-accredited Master’s in Library Science; 2 years relevant library reference experience, including online searching and technology help; strong customer service skills; current knowledge of library and patron technology trends.

Hours and Compensation:

Rate: $21.9761/hr. (Time and a half for Sundays), hours as needed.
