SAA SNAP Blog Seeking New Submissions

Description:
The SAA Students and New Archives Professionals Section blog is seeking new submissions!
Have you ever come across something in the archives that made you stop in your tracks? Just completed an incredible LIS 438 internship you want to brag about? Whether it was an unexpected document, a fascinating artifact, or a story hidden in the records, we want to hear about it! For our new SNAP blog series, SNAP Show and Tell, we’re inviting students and new professionals to share one cool thing they’ve discovered in the archives. It can be from any collection, in any format, and from any time period. Maybe you found it while processing a new acquisition, revising an old finding aid, or diving deep into research. However you stumbled upon it, we want to see it! Tell us what you found, why it’s interesting, and what it reveals about the past—or the present. Let’s celebrate the discoveries that make archives exciting!
How To Submit:
Email the SNAP blog editorial team at [email protected] with your submission. Your “show” should be one image no larger than 1920×1080 and your “tell” can be anywhere from 100 to 300 words. Your image may be a PNG or JPG. Please include the repository’s preferred citation information and photo credit under the image, as well as any applicable copyright information.
You do not need to be a member of SAA or the SNAP section to write a blog post – but of course we encourage all interested students and new archivists to join.
