Job Summary:
Fleet Library, in the Libraries Division, at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), invites applications for a full-time professional librarian appointment at the rank of Librarian II, to commence in spring/summer 2025.
As a member of a dynamic library team, the Research and Instruction Librarian leads Fleet Library’s information literacy instruction, research services, and campus engagement related to both. They collaborate with library colleagues, faculty, students, and others to raise awareness of library resources and make them accessible through innovative instruction and research services. They contribute to the development of Fleet Library’s circulating collection and online resources, create learning resources and develop related programming. By sharing their knowledge, expertise and curiosity, they support a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for a creative and diverse campus population of undergraduates, graduates, continuing education and pre-college students, staff, and faculty and visitors.
