Reports to: Government Records Archivist, CT State Archives, and Grants Assistant,
CT Humanities
Salary: $20 per hour. Benefits are not included.

CT Humanities and the Connecticut State Archives seeks to hire one student intern to inventory
and process historical CT Humanities records. This is a part-time 10 to 15 hours per week
internship, with a projected start date of January 27 and projected end date of May 2, 2025.
Interns must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in library science, history,
political science, or closely related field.
Duties: Under the direction of the Government Records Archivist the intern will be involved
with processing historical CT Humanities records that may include flattening and sorting
documents, reviewing and removing documents with confidential information, placing
documents in acid free folders and boxes, labeling folders and boxes, creating container lists,
shelving boxes, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Good communication skills; ability to perform repetitive tasks and attention to
detail; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds;
basic computer skills, such as the ability to use a mouse, enter data with a keyboard, locate and
open a saved file and ability to open and close software programs; and experience with entering
data into Google Sheets, Google Documents, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Word.
