The Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association and the National Park Service are seeking historical research assistants for the project “A Memorial Legacy: The Hahns of Providence.” This project focuses on uncovering the history of the Hahn family, prominent figures in Rhode Island’s Jewish history, through archival research.
Position Details:
- Start Date: November 2024
- End Date: April 2025
- 100 hours, $20/hour
Applicants must have experience in archival research. They will examine records in various archives, including the Rhode Island State Archives, Rhode Island Historical Society archives, Rhode Island Judicial Archives, and others. Selected individuals will receive guidance and mentorship from researchers at both organizations. Applicants will conduct research in local archives, working closely with RIJHA and NPS experts.
