Temporary Library Assistant, MassArt, (Boston, MA)

Job Description:
The Library Assistant will assist on various projects such creating and cataloging images and videos for databases and collecting and entering data into an Electronic Resource System.
This position will also provide reference services and circulation desk coverage.
The candidate must be able to work on Monday Mornings and Friday afternoons.
This position is a 9 hours per week position.

Hourly Rate: $20 per hour

Qualifications & Requirements:
Able to work on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons
Experience with Adobe Suite
Experience with spreadsheet software (sheets, excel, etc.)
Background in libraries
Flexibility appropriate for a dynamic work setting, with desire to participate in collaborative problem solving.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to sit for long periods of time, to move books and packages, and to distinguish color.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in visual arts
Experience with WordPress
Experience with digital asset management tools such as JStor Forum and Resource Space.
Experience with cataloging standards, VRA Core 4.0, CCO, the Getty Vocabularies
