Reference Librarian, Part-Time, Lynnfield Public Library (Lynnfield, MA)

The Lynnfield Public Library is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic part-time Reference Librarian to join our team. This position works 12 hours a week in 4 hour shifts, including one evening (Wednesday) a week on the Reference Desk. This position provides a variety of reference services using an automated library circulation system, requiring substantive knowledge of the library’s collections, services, systems, policies and procedures. Responsibilities include answering reference questions for all ages made in person and by telephone, mail, and email, providing a high level of customer service to patrons of all ages and general reference assistance including the following: online catalog and other electronic databases assistance, patron holds, bibliographic instruction, research assistance, reader’s advisory and assistance in the location, selection, and use of materials. This position also assists in special projects as required and assigned by the supervisor.
