Hinckley Allen is seeking a Senior Research and Knowledge Services Analyst to be based in our Boston, MA or Providence, RI office.
The Senior Research and Knowledge Services Analyst is responsible for providing on-demand legal and business research and reference support to attorneys and staff, including legislative histories, archival research, and the most complex legal research requests. The Senior Research and Knowledge Services Analyst is responsible for maintaining in-depth working knowledge of the Research Services’ electronic collections, interlibrary loan availability, and other resources as appropriate. Additionally, this role regularly contributes to business development research initiatives, firm intranet content and data management, and projects as assigned by the Director.
A Masters of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.S.) from an accredited institution is required; a Juris Doctor (J.D.) is acceptable in place of M.L.I.S. Approximately five to seven years of work experience in a law firm library setting is required. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and clearly, as well as to read and write at a collegiate level. Candidates must also possess the ability to research and find resources quickly and effectively, with little to no supervision, have strong technology skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint content management.
