Associate Director for Resource Management Services, The University of Puget Sound, (Tacoma, WA)

The University of Puget Sound is hiring an Associate Director for Resource Management Services to join our Library Department! This position leads the Resource Management Services unit in Collins Library. The AD-RMS provides vision and expertise in the management, organization, and lifecycle of Collins Memorial Library’s electronic and print resource collections and serves as the lead administrator of the shared integrated library system, including the discovery layer (Alma/Primo VE).

Please note:

-Positions that work less than .75 FTE (1,560 hours per year) do not qualify for long-term disability or education benefits.

-Positions that work less than .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will accrue paid sick leave but are not eligible for additional benefits.

-Temporary positions that work at least .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will be eligible for benefits.

To be considered for this role, a candidate must have:

• Master’s degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited institution.

• At least five years experience as a librarian in an academic library in positions of increasing responsibility.

• Experience in managing library collection budgets.

• An ability to respectfully work, communicate, and provide leadership within a diverse campus community.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The pay range for this position is $70,000 – $77,719. Decisions about starting salaries are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate’s education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations.

• This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
