School Resource Librarian, Wentworth School, (Scarborough, ME)

Description: Wentworth School is seeking a student-centered, organized and flexible, collaborative school librarian to join our dedicated team. Pending budget validation, this position will be for an elementary school librarian at our state-of-the-art, intermediate level school. The Wentworth librarian will coordinate and provide programming and instruction for grades 3 to 5 on a trimester schedule. The Wentworth Learning Commons is supported by a dedicated team of Library Educational Technicians that assist with daily library routines and management. This is a new position, and we are looking forward to strengthening and developing our elementary library services. This position will also join a team of three other librarians at the primary (K to 2), middle school, and high school levels, supported by the Director of Curriculum and school leaders.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters Degree in school library-media/information services or a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology or the equivalent preferred
  2. Experience in elementary education
  3. Experience with a variety of informational and instructional technologies
  4. Knowledge of curriculum development and integration
  5. Educational Specialist Certificate (K-12) – 071 Library/Media Specialist
  6. CHRC
