Gain practical professional archives management and processing experience in an academic archive! The University of Colorado Boulder Libraries’ Rare & Distinctive Collections is looking for an Archives Apprentice who will work onsite in Norlin Library to process archival materials in RaD’s Innovations in Jewish Life collections. Under the supervision and instruction of the Lead Archivist and Senior Processing Archivist, the Archives Apprentice will arrange, describe, re-house, and create or update finding aids and accession records for new and legacy collections in this collecting area. Training will be provided on archival accessioning and processing strategies, archival description, and finding aid creation. The apprentice will gain experience with the Libraries’ archival collection management database, ArchivesSpace; writing a finding aid; and arrangement strategies.
