3 Librarian Positions Open at UConn (Storrs, CT) – Health and Natural Sciences

UConn Library is hiring 3 Research Services Librarians for the following areas:

  • The natural, environmental, and life sciences position will serve as liaison to Animal Science, Natural Resources and the Environment, Pathobiology and Veterinary Science, Environmental Sciences, Extension, biology programs such as Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and associated subject areas.
  • The health sciences position will serve as liaison to Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, and associated subject areas.
  • The psychological and health sciences position will serve as liaison to Psychological Sciences, Kinesiology, and associated subject areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Engages in outreach with students and faculty to align and integrate the UConn Library into curricular efforts.
  • Designs and teaches instructional sessions for subject-based information literacy and writing classes.
  • Consults and instructs on evidence synthesis and systematic reviews.
  • Incorporates principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and justice into services and collections related to the position.
  • Engages in collections across their lifecycle, including development, management, and assessment.
  • Participates in UConn Library’s online reference services.
  • Engages with professional activities at a statewide, regional, and/or national level.
