Washington and Lee University Library Special Collections and Archives offers a part-time internship position for individuals currently enrolled in a graduate program focused on either library science or archival studies. This individual will be trained in most aspects of special collections and archival work, including reference, instruction, and processing. The internship provides a graduate student with practical experience in special collections and archives. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with both public services and descriptive functions in the form of regular reference shifts, processing collections, and aiding in instruction where necessary. The individual in this position will undergo specific training regarding handling and description of special collections and archives materials within the appropriate platforms (including but not limited to ArchivesSpace and LibAnswers).
