Overview:	Reporting to the Associate Dean for the UW Tacoma Library, the Head of Collections and Scholarship manages all aspects of the UWT Library collections. The successful candidate will be energized by working in a collaborative, team-based environment with colleagues who are passionate about helping all of our students succeed. The Head of Collections and Scholarship develops and nurtures strategic partnerships across the Tacoma campus and within the UW Libraries to develop and manage curriculum-informed collections for the UWT campus.  The successful candidate is a creative librarian who is excited by developing diverse and user-responsive collections. The Head of Collections and Scholarship will serve as a subject liaison to one or more academic departments, colleges, or schools. The successful candidate will have the ability to thrive in a future-oriented Libraries environment, and to respond effectively to changing needs and priorities. This position is not tenure eligible. This position is represented by SEIU 925 – Libraries. Please see the SEIU 925 collective bargaining agreement for the Librarian promotion process.
