The TTUHSC Library in Lubbock, TX is currently accepting applications for a Reference and Research Librarian. Reporting to the Associate Managing Director, the incumbent will provide reference and research assistance, serve as a school liaison, and provide instruction to students, faculty, and staff. This position includes an opportunity for non-tenured faculty associate appointment in the TTUHSC School of Medicine.

JOB DETAILS
Salary: $53,000 per year with excellent benefits including ample paid vacation and holidays as well as a generous professional development program including funding for conference attendance and training.
Job Type: Full-time, onsite.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
– Participate in the reference, liaison, and education functions of the library that includes orientations and training sessions, in-person and virtual reference assistance, and liaison support.
– Develop informational materials such as tutorials and instructional videos addressing information literacy and evidence-based concepts.
– Communicate library services and resources to onsite and distance students, faculty, and staff.
– Maintain and enhance LibGuides content pertaining to areas of responsibility.
– Provide assistance with the Libraries’ systematic review service.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL NEED:
– Master of Library Science or its equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience working in libraries with demonstrated increased levels of responsibility.
– Experience providing library instruction in a college or university setting.
– Familiarity with systematic reviews.
