Archivist (Part-Time), Northeast Museum Services Center, Charlestown, MA

Description

 Great Basin Institute (GBI), in partnership with the National Park Service and the Northeast Museum Services Center (NMSC), is seeking a part-time archivist to catalog the records of Saugus Ironworks National Historic Site.  The work will take place at the NMSC offices in Charlestown, MA as part of an archival team. 

22.5 hours a week for approximately 50 weeks.

Start Date: Anticipated late May 2024.

Salary: $30.00/hr., no benefits.

Qualifications

• M.L.S. or Master’s in History (in process or completed) preferred.
• Experience and/or coursework related to historical records.
• Detail-oriented.
• Strong command of historical research skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
