Conference Scholarship Opportunity: Association for Rural & Small Libraries, Springfield, MA

The Association for Rural & Small Libraries has partnered with the Manton Foundation, a regional giving organization serving New England, to provide attendance scholarships for our 2024 Conference in Springfield, Massachusetts. We would like to extend the opportunity to apply to any students in your MLIS program who might be interested in working in small or rural public libraries, which make up nearly 90% of all public libraries in New England, upon graduation. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 12.

With 120 scholarships available, the chance of success for each applicant is very high! Scholarship recipients will receive funding to cover the following expenses associated with our conference. Registration and attendance will be verified on-site.

  • Lodging at one of two conference hotels for the duration of the conference ($600)
  • Base conference registration ($300)
  • Travel and/or Preconference Workshop stipend ($300)
