Democratic Senator seeks a full-time Archivist. Primary duties include creating records policies for electronic and paper records; preparing a plan for processing records; preparing inventory of electronic records and records stored in Washington and state offices; inventorying memorabilia and special media; and other duties as appropriate. Position requires the ability to work autonomously and experience creating and maintaining databases. Experience working with digital and electronic records required. The ideal candidate will have an academic or library sciences background, excellent communication skills, and be highly organized. Candidates from BIPOC, LGBT+, working class, military, disabled, and/or other underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply. This position is in Washington DC with a salary of $49,285 annually and benefits that include a federal student loan repayment option.
