Looking for Volunteers for NEA Spring Meeting

The NEA Newsletter is looking for volunteers to serve as session reporters at the Spring Meeting!

Session reporters for this spring’s meeting (March 14 to March 16 in Providence, Rhode Island) will write a summary of their session(s) for publication in the July 2024 issue of the Newsletter. We are still seeking volunteers to provide summaries for the following sessions:

1.1 Balancing Acts: Case Studies of Reparative Description and Harmful Content Warnings
1.2 Collecting LGBTQ+ History: Three Rhode Island Community-Based Projects
1.3 Right Now: Case Studies in Hybrid and Born-Digital Processing
2.2 Critical Historiography in the Classroom: Teaching Primary Sources with a Social Justice Lens*
3.3 Challenging Content, Challenging Project: Divided America
4.1 Revisions Required: Demystifying Professional Writing with the Journal of Contemporary Archival Studies
4.3 Student lightning talks
5.1b Linking it Together: Integrating Multiple Systems for a Common Goal
5.2 It’s About Community: Collectively Creating Our Story
5.3 Women religious archival donations to universities: Matches made in heaven

You may volunteer to cover multiple sessions and student reporters are welcomed. Reports should be between 300 and 400 words and are due on April 29th.

To volunteer, contact the session reports editor at [email protected] or select a session from the dropdown menu during meeting registration. Please note that sessions are assigned on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
