Engineering Librarian for Research & Teaching Support, Stanford University, Stanford, CA

About the Position

The Engineering Librarian for Research & Teaching Support will join the Head Librarian, Engineering Librarian for Data and Collections, and Digital Technology Manager in the Terman Engineering Library. As a member of an interdisciplinary team of science and engineering librarians in the Science and Engineering Resource Group, the Engineering Librarian for Research & Teaching Support will provide direct support in the use of library materials, help guide community members through the scholarly communication process, and play an active role in supporting the research lifecycle of data. This position will have the opportunity to impact the future of library services for the Stanford engineering community, and is especially geared towards librarians with interests and/or experiences in engineering/scientific information, scholarly communication and research data management, and outreach and instruction.

Core Duties

Serves as a research and teaching liaison to the School of Engineering, its Departments and Institutes, Labs and Centers to ensure that library services and collections support current research and teaching programs. Maintains close contact with faculty to anticipate their research and instructional needs and to provide relevant library resources and programs. Reports to the Head of the Terman Engineering Library.

The expected pay range for this position at the Librarian 1 level is $73,000 to $92,000 per annum.
