Part -Time Archivist, Lincoln Public Library, Lincoln, MA

The Town of Lincoln – an organization that believes that workforce diversity strengthens performance, integrity, trust, and partnerships with our staff, boards, committees, community, and guests – is seeking a part-time Archivist (13 hours per week). This position is a unique collaboration between the Lincoln Public Library and the Town Clerk’s Office. Under the Direction of both the Library Director and the Town Clerk, the Archivist is responsible for the daily operation of the Town Archives.
Applicants should possess an ALA accredited master’s degree in Library Science, with specialization in Archival Management and have knowledge of current archival descriptive practices and standards. Experience in institutional or municipal records preferred. Excellent communication skills, self-motivation and judgment are essential, as is enthusiasm for history and public service and a willingness to learn the requirements of public records law.
One to three years of archival experience with digital archives, archival content management systems (Omeka), web design, and current software applications are highly desirable.
Salary range is $31.05/hour – $39.35/hour
