The Town of Acton is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Staff Librarian 1-Information Services at Acton Memorial Library.

Duties: The successful candidate will provide reference service in an extremely busy library with an opportunity for occasional extra hours including on Sunday afternoons.

Minimum Entrance Requirements: ALA-accredited Masters degree in Library Science; 2 years of relevant library experience, including online searching, in a fully-automated library; strong customer service skills; working knowledge of current trends in library technology for users.
Preferred Qualifications Include: Public library reference experience and/or fluency in Chinese, Russian, or Portuguese (Brazilian dialect) are highly desirable.
