Archive Project Assistant, Pakachoag Archive on Native American Life, Worcester, MA

Start: February 1, 2024 (somewhat flexible)

End: March 15, 2024 (flexible).

Hours: Approximately 35 hours of work total to be completed within the agreed upon time frame.

Pay: $20.00/hr.

Duties:

Sorting and creating an inventory of a researcher’s archive of materials on Native American life in Worcester, Massachusetts and beyond. These papers will be included in the Pakachoag Archive, a repository of materials to aid research on Native American life in Worcester. 

Archive inventory experience required. Efficiency, competence and speed all highly desired. Applicant should be reliable, able to work independently and with others. Candidates will be expected to lift and move moderately heavy (30-50 lbs.) boxes, take digital scans and photos, and write useful, pertinent inventory notes. Solid knowledge of US history helpful. Job site is the College of the Holy Cross Archives (Worcester, MA).
