Candidate:
The Information Services department at the Nashua Public Library seeks an

enthusiastic, organized and customer-focused Reference Librarian to join our six-
person team. Our ideal candidate will have successful experience working with

marginalized communities, be passionate about collection development, and excited to
help close gaps in digital literacy. The Information Services team strives to co-create an
inclusive and collaborative culture. We welcome emerging and seasoned professionals

Responsibilities:
Full time 40-hour union position, includes regular evening and weekend hours. Duties
for this position include direct customer service at our Information Services desk,
collection development, technology instruction, and providing one-on-one computer and
reference support to customers. The person in this position may participate in
community engagement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Library Science
  • 1 year of work experience in a public library setting is required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software and online research tools and
    databases is required.
  • Knowledge of and experience using library eBook and streaming apps is
    required.
  • Experience using Symphony or similar ILS is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated aptitude for serving the public.
  • Experience with interlibrary loans, local history and technology instruction is
    preferred.
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus.

Salary: Job Grade 5 – $51,295 – $58,805
