NRWS Internship – Summer 2024, Takeda, Cambridge, MA

The summer internship program is a full-time commitment of 12 weeks and offers a unique

Please note that Takeda does not provide intern housing or a housing stipend.

Project Outline:
Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a full-time paid intern to assist with completing
the organization and preservation goals in the Nonclinical Research Archive at the Cambridge, MA
location for 12 weeks over the summer. The intern would work with the Nonclinical Regulatory
Writing and Submissions Team (NRWS) to assist with ongoing archival activities and projects.
Reporting to the NRWS Operations Associate Director, and working directly with the NRWS
Operations Archiving team, the role will involve managing Nonclinical documentation throughout its
lifecycle. The primary project activities include removing preservation threats to documentation by
locating, uploading, and removing potentially obsolete electronic materials. Additional aspects of the
role include creating, managing, and editing archival indices and inventories. Other duties may be
assigned as necessary.
The role requires the skills of someone experienced and/or interested in archival preservation, data
management, and archival reference work.
Candidates interested in the documentation aspect of the pharmaceutical industry who have related
experience will also be considered.
This position will challenge the chosen candidate to engage with unfamiliar materials and
unconventional archival processes. The position will also expose the candidate to a corporate archive
within a regulated environment which complies with FDA guidance. Additionally, the position will
provide invaluable experience working with a supportive team of peers.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Currently authorized to work in the US (United States) without sponsorship. Takeda does not
    provide sponsorship for internship positions.
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), within the core business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm,
    for 12 weeks during the summer months.
  • Undergraduate, Graduate, PhD, or MD student with completion of a minimum of one year of
    university studies.
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship with Takeda.

The hourly pay rate range is $19.00 per hour – $37.00 per hour. The final pay rate offered for this
internship may consider several factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
