Head of Technical Services, Nesmith Library, (Windham, NH)

General Summary: This is a full-time, 40 Hour/week position that will require some nights and weekend hours in a rotating schedule. The Head of Technical Services primary responsibilities include managing the day to day operations of the Library’s technical services department. Plans, directs, and manages the cataloging, classification, and processing of library materials; supervises the Nesmith Library’s use of the Polaris cataloging and acquisitions modules.

This is a position responsible for delivery of friendly, high-quality public service in a public library setting and performance of routine tasks associated with the operations of the Nesmith Library. This position performs duties requiring adherence to standards of accuracy, timeliness, tact and confidentiality. Excellent written and oral communications skills are required.

Education and Experience:

A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university or equivalent graduate degree or any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

3 to 5 years lead cataloguing experience required.

1 to 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Salary: Salary range from $59,000 to $66,000 dependent upon experience. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and paid earned time.
