The Graduate Admission Office is looking for a current Simmons graduate student to help us provide outstanding outreach and customer service to prospective students at the Boston Campus. The position will start as soon as possible.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Communicate with prospective graduate students via in-person, phone, and email conversations, as well as social networking tools
- Assist with operations including data entry, processing mail, communication through the main email accounts, and application processing
- Serve as a student representative at graduate events, including monthly Information Sessions. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
- Provide campus tours to prospective students
- Support front desk coverage
- Collaborate on special projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Simmons graduate student
- Previous office experience
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with a variety of individuals and large groups
- Previous experience working in admissions or customer service
- Mail merge and Excel experience a plus
This is 8 – 10 hour weekly position for the rest of the Fall 2023 semester through Spring 2024, with the possibility for renewing for Summer 2024 and Fall 2024. Availability for Fall 2023 on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon preferred.
