The Reading Public Library seeks a service-oriented information professional passionate about developing inclusive public library programs and services. A senior position, the Librarian II – Adult and Teen Services ensures users from grade six through all phases of adulthood receive high-quality and equitable library service.
Reporting to the Head of Public Services, the Librarian II leads a collaborative team of library professionals who provide direct patron assistance, plan programs, and work on collection development. This person also
– assists the Division Head with the daily operations of the division.
– schedules and oversees work assignments for five divisional staff and various substitutes.
– identifies program gaps and implements creative and thoughtful solutions.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject;
- Master’s Degree in Library Science or a closely related field preferred; and
- At least three (3) years of professional-level experience;
or
- Any equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience, with additional work experience substituting for the required education on a year for year basis.
Salary Range
$69,732.00 – $73,047.00 / year
